With Dr. R. Baxendales unsurpassed knowledge of what makes muscles work and his understanding of the human body; he developed a wave that follows the brains natural pulses. The “wave” travels through the skin, a natural resister to electrical current and the outer facial tissue very comfortably until it reaches the muscle. At this point the wave changes and is still powerful enough to hold the muscle in contraction. The essential feature is that the “Take Ten” delivers an output close to the natural firing of muscles. It produces an electrical exercise in a controllable way which reshapes the muscle over the period of use.
No other wave up to this point has been available that can hold a facial muscle in a contraction without being too painful and risking damage to skin and tissue.
Holding a muscle in contraction will make it grow. Power exercises are carried out over short periods and are intense, holding muscles in contraction. This is how body builders and weight lifters train to build muscle mass and power.
The Genie Take Ten is a perfectly natural way to exercise facial muscles.
Because we are "power" building, a 10 minute treatment is sufficient to achieve all that is possible in one session. For 24 hours after a treatment the muscles are still working and re-generating themselves.
A course of ten treatments over 4 or 5 weeks should be sufficient for most people to achieve the desired effect. A top up treatment is recommended every 3 to 4 weeks but more frequent treatments are perfectly safe if your client wishes.
This module has pre-set programmes which vary according to the stage of treatment for the client. Power level is always set by the operator based on client comfort. Just as with normal exercise, clients whose muscles are less toned would start off gently and increase their activity as they develop. The pre-set programmes reflect this and are set at: Extra Gentle, Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced, and Super Advanced. Small facial electrodes are placed on the forehead and face and an electrical current is passed through onto the muscle to give a visible contraction.
The pattern of muscle activity is one of relatively short duration and relatively strong contractions. The Take Ten can initiate contractions lasting between 1 second and 5 seconds. There is a rest period of up to 9 seconds between contractions. This contraction/relaxation cycle is repeated for up to 10 minutes. It is important that the intensity of the stimulation is turned up high enough to cause visible muscle movement. The stronger the contraction the stronger the training effect will be. There will be no effect with no contraction.
